Media Detox Day 11: Book Love

Guess who is sneaking his books into bed during bedtime?

Guess who simply cannot wait to find out what happens in the next chapter of her favorite book?

Guess who has realized that there are far too many books started and never finished? Moms, can I get a witness here!

Guess who has read 4 different books (adult literature) in the last month? And may I add makes me feel like my entire school career was a complete waste?

And

Guess who keeps asking me to point out where I am in our read-aloud, so that he can actually follow the words?

We are all awakening our love for books!

That’s wonderful! A love for reading is so important. I have so many students that missed out on reading books as children and now have less spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and general reading comprehension than what they would have had if they were regular “readers…”

I think all parents should cultivate a habit of reading actual books in their children, so well done!
